Is seeking a

Part-time/full-time hourly. Dependable individual to sell new tires and recommend necessary automotive repairs. Also needs to know the tire changer duties and may be required to help in that department from time to time. Knowledge of the alignment and mechanics shop duties also very helpful.

• - Write complete and legible work orders.
• - Use resource manuals and guides to determine proper recommendations for tires, wheels, or mechanical services.
• - Carefully help monitor the tire inventory which includes following inventory handling procedures.
• - Always look and act professional.
• - Greet customers ASAP, preferably in the parking lot; using the 5 step sales process, service the customer in such a fashion that they will leave feeling very pleased where they will recommend Lex Brodie’s to their family and friends.
• - Answer telephones professionally and in a friendly manner with the ultimate goal to get the customer in the door!
• - Keep work area and store clean and organized. Help keep the displays organized and full.
• - Enforce best management practices for handling hazardous materials.
• - Work as a team.
• - Keep up with current promotions and constantly educate yourself to keep up with industry changes. Become TIA certified and take as many on-line Michelin training courses as possible.
• - Follow all policies and procedures for sales staff and those outlined in the Lex Brodie’s Handbook and Safety Manual.
• - Follow Lex Brodie’s Customer Bill of Rights.
• - Report to work as scheduled. Open and close store following appropriate procedures.

• - Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• - Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing and selling products or services.
• - Computers — Demonstrate basic computer skill.
• - Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others.
• - Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• - Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships — developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
• - Making Decisions and Solving Problems — analyzing information and evaluating to choose the best solution and solve problems.

High School Diploma or GED.

Some vocational training or job-related course work.

2 years retail/sales experience in the automotive/tire industries preferred.

Current driver’s license with acceptable driving abstract

ASE certifications and/or TIA certification preferred
